JANE CROWLEY: 3 INSTRUCTORS IN ONE!
CLASSICAL DRESSAGE ~ CENTERED RIDING INSTRUCTOR ~ NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP
For over 30 years Jane’s passion has been helping horses and riders become partners on the ground as well as in the saddle. She enjoys a “problem” horse and is passionate about seeing the positive change in the horse. She is a Certified Centered Riding Instructor and also specializes in colt starting using natural horsemanship methods for all horses coming into the program. She has a passion for “problem” horses and finds great joy in helping not only the horses but the owners as well. “There is no greater joy than watching two become one.”
Jane grew up on a dairy farm in the great state of Maine and it was there that her love of horses was born. She began riding horses at the age of five and developed her skills over the years by training with many top-level masters attending numerous clinics. She grew up in Pony Club and co-founded the Boston Mountain Pony Club in Northwest Arkansas where she was also a ratings instructor and judge for various Pony Club events throughout Arkansas.
She has successfully trained competition horses for Dressage, Reining, Hunt Seat, Western Pleasure, and Trail. One of Jane’s specialties is buying a horse that “shows a lack of interest” in particular discipline and turning it around for a new owner. That is a true “win-win” situation!
She also worked for such distinguished farms in the Northeast as Ox Ridge Hunt Club in Darien, CT and was barn manager and head instructor for The New Cannan Mounted Troupe in New Cannan, CT. Although her primary focus is now Dressage, she enjoyed competed successfully in three-day eventing, huntseat, not to mention western pleasure.
She took the opportunity to ride with the following renowned trainers:
Centered Riding: Sally Swift (since 1983), Susan Harris, Mary Fenton, Saundra Code-Cabell, Peggy Cummings, Peggy Brown, Robin Brueckmann, Lucile Bump, Judith Cross-Strehlke, Gail Field, Sally Haney, Sue Leffler, Sam Morrison, and Wendy Murdoch
Dressage: Lendon Grey, Max Gahwyler, Micheal Poulin, François Lemaire de Ruffieu, Ed Rothkranz
Cross Country/Hunters: Tad Coffin, Denny Emerson, George Morris, Marshall Grey
Western/Natural Horsemanship: Buck Brannaman, Clinton Anderson, Sam Powell, Bobby Hart, Carol Coppinger
Clinics Audited: Buck Brannaman, Clinton Anderson, Mary Wanless, Sam Powell, Monty Roberts, John Lyons, Pat Parelli, Chris Cox, and several “Road to the Horse” events.
You will find Jane in the stands auditing numerous clinics as she feels that you can NEVER stop learning. She believes that the more tools you have in your “tool bag” the more successful you become.
From years of classical dressage training and natural horsemanship studies, Jane Crowley shares various teaching techniques to achieve respect, freedom of movement, and self-carriage for both horse and rider. Her goal is safe, happy horses and riders.
Testimonials

“I can’t tell you just how much you have helped my riding and me. In spite of my “handicaps,” I have enjoyed it more under your tutelage than with any other trainer. It’s not just the Centered Riding technique, it’s your personal involvement and enthusiasm with your students...
